What is Cyanogen or CyanogenMod OS(Improved version of Android)?

CyanogenMod

Cyanogen or CyanogenMod is an more personalized and open-source operating system used in Mobile Phones and Tablets. This is extended or improved Android OS. They are based on the open-source OS Android.

These operating systems will be having more cool features like less battery consumption, faster operation, more personalized interface and more security features too.

The cyanogen firmware is generally distributed by mobile phone manufacturers, in which they improve the Android release by Google and do changes in it. There are several versions of CyanogenMod released.

Now Micromax is going to release a phone called Micromax Yureka with the Cyanogen OS 11.
